PIET STRYCKERS (viols, fiddle, hurdy-gurdy) studied musicology, bass viol and composition. He teaches harmony and music analysis at the Antwerp Royal Conservatoire of Music. He plays the viol with many early music groups such as Currende, the Huelgas Ensemble, the Ricercar Consort orThe Consort of Musicke. This doesn’t stop him joining buskers in street music festivals or writing for music theatre (Internationale Nieuwe Scène).

With violinists An Van Laethem and Johan Van Aken he also forms De Meijt op Solder, a trio that revives the 17th and 18th century popular repertoires for two fiddles and a bass.
